This two-day review session covers compliance with the IIA's "Attribute Standards"; risk and control knowledge elements; establishing a risk-based plan to determine the priorities of the internal audit activity; plan engagements; and the nature of internal audit work in risk management, control, and governance. Course materials: Students are required to purchase IIA's CIA Learning System for the class. A full kit for all 4 parts is $513 and Individual parts are $205 each. Vicki A. McIntyre, CIA, CPA, is a highly respected audit and compliance professional with more than 25 years experience in the business world. She brings real life examples to the classroom to most effectively demonstrate practical examples of concepts being taught. As a volunteer IIA leader for nearly 20 years, McIntyre is highly dedicated to the professional practice of Internal Auditing. She serves on teams which perform Quality Assessments of Audit Departments' compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework and is a trainer, workshop facilitator and frequent guest speaker. As a highly effective "big picture" risk manager, she has a combination of internal audit, financial management, public accounting, regulatory supervision, and compliance management experience. McIntyre has been a California state bank examiner, a VP Finance of a closely held bank and a VP Risk Management of a regional bank with nationwide mortgage lending authority. As a CPA, she has performed attestation services in the non-profit, manufacturing, government and financial services sectors.
